The Jackal

Impression: Loved the Karoo beers when in Kruger so made a special trip to the brewery. I knew most of the beers from our Safari trip and The Jackal was our favorite so was super happy to finally see it on tap. It was unfiltered and seemed a bit lighter in color than in bottle form. The brewer/owner explained that he had been tweaking some of his recipes, often with locally grown hops to reduce cost and use local products. At any rate, it was still a very balanced IPA with a fine citrusy nose and palate before the long dry bitter finish.
How about another South African craft beer?
