The rustic Bräustübl was built into the brewery in 1999 and features a small warm menu as well as typical cold Brotzeit items. They also feature three of their beers on tap. They were once open daily but have cut back their hours as many place have done so are now open only on weekends. We were there on Gründonnerstag for an after work event with a smaller than usual food menu. Even though not on the special menu, they nicely let us order the mixed meat plate I’d read about and it was excellent, especially the fresh bread. I started off with a Weissbier and my wife got their very popular Kellerbier.

a lovely mixed meat plate & two of their beers on tap

We also got an order of Obazda which was quite good but if we’d have known how good the Bauernplatte was going to be, we’d have ordered two of them. Bread was so good, we got a loaf to go. We finished up with their Pilsner.

Great Brotzeit & Pils

Service was attentive and friendly. They really went out of their way to get me logo glasses when I asked for one on the first beer. The atmosphere was very lively I wouldn’t hesitate to return though it’s a long trip to get there, especially from Munich!

Beers on tap: Waldschloss-Bräu Pilsner, Fuhrmanns Weisse hell, Waldschloss-Bräu unfiltriertes Kellerbier
