I’ve had this Keller on my radar for a couple of years but finally made it there on our way from a recent late afternoon Walberla hike to the train station in Kirchehrenbach. It was just before closing so pretty empty but there are nice views and it certainly seems worth a return visit.
a quick stop at the Lindenkeller before it closed
We only had time for a quick beer but it was a very fine and rare find in Franconia, Winkler Kupfer Spezial from the Upper Palitinate. It’s a rich malty but dry brew which more than held its own against both superb Franconia dark beers we’d had just prior: Alt Vollbier Dunkel and Drummer Dunkles.
