Founded in 1897, this small village brewery has been in the able hands of the Hofmann family ever since. There’s not much to see in this small village but the brewery is worth the visit and the forest and hills that surround it make for some fine walking.
Hackfleisch with both of the regular Hofmann beers
My first time was on a gorgeous day and the Biergarten was accordingly busy. I enjoyed a small snack of Hackfleisch (raw pork and beef) on bread and one of their great Export Dunkel beers. I was recently there on a cold wet day and found the interior pub quite cozy.
