Founded in 1862, this rival family brewery next to the old half-timbered Brauerei Dinkel is a bit more refurbished if a tad on the kitschy side. That said, it is homey and had a nice wood burning stove going the rather cool day I stopped by. Another bonus is they have rooms.

I was here for one quick beer in 2003 and it wasn’t up to par with Dinkel but was happy to return in 2019 and find it not only open but still thriving. It appears a popular place to eat. I unfortunately had already eaten so only got to sample a couple beers. Either their Stublanger Lagerbier wasn’t on that day or the waitress misled me into having the Landbier Dunkel. Either way, it was once again not up to par with Dinkel. I also tried their seasonal Land-Pils and found it not particularly satisfying either. Next time in town, I’ll try to have a meal and be sure to get their Stublanger Lagerbier, hoping it is their best offering.
