Löwenbräu Hennemann Pils
Brewery: Löwenbräu Hennemann
Town: Stublang
Style: Pils
Color: straw yellow
Head: dense, white
Nose: very slight grain
Body: medium, over-carbonated
Palate: bitter, some grain
Finish: bitter
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: I had their Landbier Dunkel and found it unusual in its bitterness and not particularly hoppy. This Pils was less flavorful, a bit fizzy and had the same unusual bitterness. If I am in Stublang for a few days again, I’d eat at the brewery and try the beer again but otherwise, not sure I’d give them another chance.
Next beer or back to the beer list.

I'm an American living in Munich and Bamberg. Why? Well, I came for the beer but stayed for the girl. I'm very happily married to a German woman. Of course, the bonus of great beer certainly doesn't hurt. An avid love of hiking and finding new beers has led me to found Beerwanderers, an information resource on beer hiking trails in Franconia with an emphasis on Franconian food specialties and the endless variety of amazing beer the region is renowned for. I also published my first book Beer Hiking Bavaria which features 50 beer hikes in Bavaria and lead beer hiking experiences for those who love beer & nature. View all posts by beerwanderers
