Hausbrauer Thundorf Hausbrauerbier
Brewery: Hausbrauer Thundorf
Town: Thundorf
Style: top-fermented Hausbier
Color: in Krug so no visuals but it’s unfiltered amber
Head: off-white, creamy
Nose: fruity, peppery hops
Body: medium
Palate: balanced, fruity, peppery hops
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: on tap at the Bessenauschank.
Impression: Hausbrauer Thundorf Hausbrauerbier on tap is a rustic fruity top-fermented brew with some peppery hops in both the nose and balanced palate. The lingering finish is semi-dry and semi-bitter. A friend picked up a bottle for me last year but it was a bit oxidized so it was nice to finally have this on tap. Their Bessenauschank is a well worth it event if you can make your way out to Thundorf. It’s the only place to find Hausbrauer Thundorf Hausbrauerbier on tap.
