Gaststube Buschbeck is a much beloved Bayreuth restaurant noted for its homey good value food and friendly service. It’s a small bustling place which thankfully has a few tables outside in the warmer months. The calling card for me was their having Brauerei Herold’s noted Beck’n Bier on tap. So far, that’s all I’ve had a chance to sample but hope to have a meal there soon as the food sure looked great.

Unfortunately, with Herold set to stop brewing on August 31, 2025, the owner explained she would go with Nankendorfer Landbier since she already carries their Helles. It’s certainly no slouch but it’s sad to see the only outlet with Herold not able to carry it in the near future. A friend was there in late September 2025 and said it was indeed all Nankerdorfer beers now.
