Leutershausen is the kind of pleasant market town you wonder why you’d never heard of it despite it being founded around 800. Its medieval walls and gates are in excellent condition and its central location between Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Ansbach and Colmburg make it a great base for exploring Middle Franconia if you have a car or are a strong walker/cyclist.

Of course for the beerwanderer, the reason to head this way is Brauerei Reindler which is a nice 3km scenic stroll away in Jochsberg and conveniently has rooms for an overnight or multi-day stop.
