Founded in 1870 and still operated by the Schroll family, this cute half-timbered house is not hard to find in this small village.  The simple interior is timeless and locals are heard discussing life near and afar.  Evidently, they serve large roast meals on Sundays and a simple snack menu at other times, as when I was there.

I had their Urtrunk, which was a nice malty brew and a pair of Bratwurst that took quite long to come out. As you can see from the photo, they are quite well-cooked and perhaps that is what took so long. No worries, they were good and it was easy for me to have a second beer. Unfortunately, even though it was December, their Bock was not available.
