Founded in 1778, this small village brewpub is a popular stop for hikers and bikers alike, who flock from nearby Bamberg and even closer Scheßlitz for their renowned Dunkles Lagerbier and tasty warm and cold dishes. On the edge of a pretty forest that will bring you scenically to the atmospheric Castle Geichburg, Köttensdorf has view sights in the village itself aside from the village pub with its rustic wooden interior and fine beer.
Hoh’s rustic interior & their Helles in krug and Bock
We didn’t have much time as had to catch a bus in Scheßlitz about 45 minutes from our arrival and we had a good half hour hike back to town! So, I got their very tasty Bock and my wife got their equally nice Helles. I guess we’ll have to come back again for their Dunkles Lagerbier. As it was, we got to the bus stop about three minutes before the bus.
Back to towns.
