Sandwitches Bamberg was a relatively new cafe with the added twist of a couple of great beers on tap. Just far enough from the main tourist area to make getting a seat that much easier. It sadly permanently closed on August 14th, 2026.

Sandwitches Bamberg is modern cafe with a bar attached. The latter is what draws the beer lover here but the food is excellent, featuring some different sandwiches as you might guess from the name. Two friends with mutual loves of food and drink started the venture in October 2025 but sadly closed their doors for the last time on August 14th, 2026.

Sandwitches Bamberg offers a variety of drinks but what drew me here was their two tap beers: Hölzlein Vollbier and Müller Derbringer Michela. Both were in great shape and well-poured.

The food at Sandwitches Bamberg
Sandwitches Bamberg has a variety of small snacks and salads but their real calling card are their melts. They feature quite a few and we had a hard time deciding but opted for one three cheese and one chicken. Both were excellent, and quite filling.

Our first visit to Sandwitches Bamberg was a resounding success. The service was very friendly and efficient. We’d have gladly returned but just learned that they sadly closed permanently not so long after or visit. I’d first heard about them from their Bockbieranstiche last year when the opened. It’s a loss for Bamberg.
