Output: Closed due to major renovation.
Founded in 2018, this small brewery took over the place left void when Brauerei Winkler closed in 2016. The restaurant is in disrepair and is no longer open but they do have regular days when you can stop by and have a vessel filled. They also hold a series of events with food, music and assorted beers from gravity dispense. These are announced on social media but also listed under Termin on their website well in advance. Closed due to major renovation.
Maria Himmelfahrt in Melkendorf
I finally made it out to one of their events thanks to Roman beer bar entrepreneur Manuele Colonna, the author of Birra in Franconia. It was a Weisswurstfrühstück but with a beer fest following this stop and their Weizen only in bottled form, I jumped right into their lovely Golden Brown. I followed that with their Keller Pils.
a nice little festival at Brandholz Brauhaus
It was a nicely run little festival in quaint courtyard and lovely Biergarten. I’m looking forward to returning soon.
Beers: Golden Brown is the flagship with a changing variety of other beers.
