Engelhardt’s Keller is currently the only outlet for the local Ebensfelder Brauhas beer. It’s a popular one with both Franconian food and wood oven pizza. This is also a very nice authentic Bierkeller with plenty of shady spots and a fine view: a huge field of sunflowers I won’t soon forget. It’s also the only place to have their Kellerbier on tap.

I finally got to eat something in the summer of 2023. I was pretty meated out so I opted for a mushroom pizza. It was very reasonable so I was surprised at how big it was.

I was a bit confused when I went up to retrieve it. They smartly have buzzers so you can sit and wait rather than everyone waiting around the dispensary window. When I went up, I saw a sign pointing around the building but only for pizza. In that area was a real Naples style pizza oven and an Italian guy manning it. The pie was pretty good. I just wish I’d have my wife with me to help me eat it!
