Historical Brauhaus Bad Colberg
Brauhaus Bad Colberg dates back to 1890. It’s a beautiful old building with some half-timbered elements. The brewing equipment is typical communal brewery old school aside from a modern display screen for tours. Wooden paddles to stir the mash complete the scene. The current members host a two-day event in spring. They are friendly and willing to give you a short tour, obviously in German, during the festival hours.

Brauhaus Bad Colberg holds a two-day festival once a year. In 2026, it was on May 2nd & 3rd. It’s generally in May with limited advertising. These are small village affairs but they are well-organized. Along with their rustic beer, most serve tasty Bratwurst typical of Thuringia. These guys also had the common Steak Semmel, a pork steak sandwich. A wide variety of homemade cakes is another staple and Bad Colberg did not disappoint.

It was a lovely first visit to the Bad Colberg Brauhausfest. The Brauhaus Bad Colberg beer was rustic and hit the spot on the warm spring day. Offered food was good quality and value. The cake was super. Most importantly, the members were friendly and helpful. We would gladly return again next year.
