Brauerei Mainstockheim

Brauerei Mainstockheim is scenically located in the Kitzingen county of Lower Franconia. Nestled in an area more noted for vineyards, the upstart brewery is a great addition to the region.

Brauerei Mainstockheim history

Brauerei Mainstockheim was founded in 2016 by a group of friends from the village.  The stand alone brewery expanded with a small courtyard Biergarten in 2018. This was the first year of hosting events. Along with the festivals, they started regular opening hours to sample their beers on tap.

The beer

The Brauerei Mainstockheim line-up of beers has expanded since 2016 and generally there are a few on tap. On our visit in February 2026, they had their Gold, Zwickl and Bock. With the Bockanstich coming up the end of March, I wasn’t expecting the latter so it was a pleasant surprise. The Zwickel was served in a Steinkrug so I asked for it in a glass mug the second time around to see its glorious hue.  Pours were all excellent and glassware clean and aesthetically very pleasing. Generally speaking, our group was very impressed with the beers.

The food

Brauerei Mainstockheim only offers pretzels but you can bring your own food. People take full advantage of this. With the 14:00 start, we’d already eaten but I’d time it better next visit and pick up some supplies. Beer always goes better with food. For events, they have typical festival fare.

The owner was welcoming and certainly many of the people there seemed to be regulars. We arrived at the opening and there were already quite a few tables taken. By the time we left at 16:30, it was full.

I’d be happy to return since there are new beers popping up all the time. I’ll be sure to bring food next time too.

Beers on tap:

Varies: Lager Hell, Gold, Zwickl, Lager Dunkel, Pils, Hefeweizen, Bock, Weizenbock, IPA.
