This typical Franconian pub with a fairly large (500 people) lush Biergarten has been a neighborhood fixture since 2002. It’s easy to see why with one rotating guest beer served gravity dispense Holzfass and a large assortment of regional favorites in bottles. Their menu is limited mostly to Brotzeit with a few simple hot meals.

This was my last stop of a multi-stop day so I didn’t properly get to enjoy it or a meal here. It was very bustling and the bottle assortment was well-chosen and I was happy to see Hummel Ungespundet from the barrel. It was unfortunately nowhere near as good as at the brewery. Again, I’d had quite a few beers by this point and maybe I was overly critical but it is a beer I have fairly often at the brewery so I know it well. I’d certainly return if in town and looking for a good Biergarten experience.
Beers: One rotating regional beer from gravity dispense, a true Holzfass no less. Assorted bottles from the region.
