Impression: Fäßla has jumped on the Franconian Helles bandwagon. It’s certainly heading in the Munich direction with a balanced malty palate featuring little hops. Served in a Krug, it’s soft and less carbonated, so probably more enjoyable for me. The lingering finish meanders a bit but it’s a serviceable enough beer. I won’t likely have it again, as the brewery makes better beers in more traditional Franconian styles. I generally try these beer from bottles rather than waste a beer on tap, but saw it on tap at the Lauber Garten so figured I’d give a shot.
