Impression: Brauschmiede Schmiedewinter is an unfiltered ruddy brown rustic brew with a roasty palate featuring a hint of chocolate and yeast. The lingering finish is semi-dry and semi-bitter. This might have been the end of the keg as the yeast level seemed a bit high for the style. It’s good to have brewing back in Mainbernheim after a 33 year absence. It’s even better with such good beers coming out of the small group of friends brewing at Brauschmiede.
