Impression: Brauerei Pröls Helles is golden with a white dense head and lightly grainy nose. This is very much in the Munich Helles style. It’s balanced with a nice grainy note and underlying hops. The lingering finish is semi-dry and only slightly bitter. The brewer explained the bottled Helles is filtered and the tap version isn’t. What I had on tap was labelled Helles Export, was 5.5%, and was fruity rather than grainy. It was hoppier, as well.
