Impression: Werner stopped brewing in 2003 but this was a good friend’s fave when he was stationed locally while in the army. So, I was happy to pick one up to finally try it. Despite being contract-brewed, it’s a well made textbook German Pils with spicy hops in the nose and dry hoppy palate. I had two Pils to drink this afternoon and chose the wrong order. I wasn’t expecting much from the Will-Bräu Pils deluxe but it was excellent and think I’d feel the same about this if I’d drunk it first. I’d happily get it again but it’s a tad thinner than it’s predecessor on this go.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
