Brauerei Aschach Festbier
Brewery: Aschach
Town: Aschach
Style: Festbier
Color: unfiltered deep golden
Head: off-white, creamy
Nose: fruity, yeasty
Body: medium, effervescent
Palate: balanced, malty, fruity, yeasty
Finish: lingering, semi-dry
Served: on tap at the brewery.
Impression: Brauerei Aschach Festbier is a good looking unfiltered golden example of the style with a surprisingly relatively low alcohol content of 4.9%. It’s quite fruity and effervescent like a Weizen. The lingering finish is a bit sticky for my tastes but locals seem to enjoy it.
Next beer or back to the beer list.

I'm an American living in Munich and Bamberg. Why? Well, I came for the beer but stayed for the girl. I'm very happily married to a German woman. Of course, the bonus of great beer certainly doesn't hurt. An avid love of hiking and finding new beers has led me to found Beerwanderers, an information resource on beer hiking trails in Franconia with an emphasis on Franconian food specialties and the endless variety of amazing beer the region is renowned for. I also published my first book Beer Hiking Bavaria which features 50 beer hikes in Bavaria and lead beer hiking experiences for those who love beer & nature. View all posts by beerwanderers
