Drei Kronen Sommer Ale
Brewery: Drei Kronen
Town: Memmelsdorf
Style: Sommer Ale 4%
Color: unfiltered golden
Head: white, rocky
Nose: citrus hops
Body: medium
Palate: balanced, citrusy, slightly buttery
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: An impressive looking beer and a nice light refreshing Craft Beer take on a low octane session beer. That said, it’s my least favorite beer of the five breweries on the tour that day.
Next beer or back to the beer list.

I'm an American living in Munich and Bamberg. Why? Well, I came for the beer but stayed for the girl. I'm very happily married to a German woman. Of course, the bonus of great beer certainly doesn't hurt. An avid love of hiking and finding new beers has led me to found Beerwanderers, an information resource on beer hiking trails in Franconia with an emphasis on Franconian food specialties and the endless variety of amazing beer the region is renowned for. I also published my first book Beer Hiking Bavaria which features 50 beer hikes in Bavaria and lead beer hiking experiences for those who love beer & nature. View all posts by beerwanderers
