Hummel Weissbier Dunkel

Town: Merkendorf
Style: Dunkelweizen 5.2%

Finish: lingering, semi-dry
Served: from a bottle bought in Bamberg
Impression: The Hummel Weißbier Dunkel pours with a bit of a lackluster head but otherwise is a textbook looking Dunkelweizen with a fruity yeasty nose and palate. There’s just enough roast in mix to not overpower it. It’s quite yeasty and the lingering finish is relatively dry. It couples well with Weisswurst, the only time I tend to drink the style. Much like their regular Weizen, this is one of the more quaffable if not standouts of the style.
