Impression: This is their staple beer and if looking for a Munich Helles, you’ll have to look elsewhere. Not quite as carefully poured as the Weizen but it’s getting busy. Still a nice creamy head and spicy peppery nose. Perhaps a bit more rounded and surprisingly a notch less hoppy, this is a beer I’d like to present to people in a Krug at a Keller. I think it would be a winner without visuals or categories weighing it down.
