Impression: Even though from a bottle, it was great drinking this in the Hof of the brewery in Franconian Thuringia. Super looking amber Landbier with an ample creamy head and light mix of spicy hops and rich toasted malt in the nose. The balanced palate features light caramel and a nice spicy hop element. The clean finish is dry and not overly bitter.

I had it just a few hours later at lunch on tap at Zur Einkehr and it was quite buttery, full of diacetyl which the brewer with me explained can be manifested in the lines if not properly cleaned. I’d like to have it on tap again and hope it’s in better form.
