Impression: It’s nice to finally get back to Würzburg and also to this little Biergarten brewery. It’s a great setting on the Main river with a fair amount of real trees. The Hefeweizen was decent but Helles proves a tougher beer to brew well. It’s malt forward with some grain but has a definite white pepper element I’ve grown to like in nearby Krautheimer beers. That said, the finish could be a little cleaner but definitely better with food. If a Weizen drinker, I’d go for that but in this setting, tough to argue with either. Definitely worth a stop if in Würzburg.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
