Impression: I’d not heard of this Bock but was very happy a friend picked it up for me while recently there as it’s not an easy place to get to and you don’t see their beers anywhere. It took awhile for me to pick up and he warned me of its sourish quality. It’s hard to read the expiration date on the bottle but I remember their other beers being quite fragile so from the papery taste I assume it’s past its prime and oxidation has set in. I still like it as there’s some hops in the mix and it’s certainly not a run of the mill kinda bland Hellerbock. I’d seek it out closer to its release date next year if possible.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
