‘s Antla Winterbock

dark beer in glass with duck bierdeckel
‘s Antla Winterbock

Brewery: ‘s Antla
Town: Kronach
Style: Dunkler Doppelbock 8.5%
Color: unfiltered dark mahogany
Head: ivory, creamy
Nose: rich malt, dark chocolate
Body: full
Palate:
balanced, richly malty, dark chocolate
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, bittersweet

Served: on tap at the brewery

Impression: This would have fit better as dessert but it’s still one of my favorites despite my poor planning. Richly malty with a nice dark chocolate note, it remains very dry for 8.5% throughout. I let it warm up as I ate dinner and a was bit simpler when not so cold.
