The O-Bräu labelled beers are brewed by Thomas Kaiser at Kaiserhof. While in the traditional vein, they are styles generally not done by the main brewery. The O comes from Oskar, the brewer’s cat. This Kellerbier is definitely different than the Kaiserhöfer one and has a balanced grainy palate with underlying hops. It’s a touch thin on flavor even though the components are all there including a moreishly dry finish. It’s certainly a quaffable beer you could session on but at 5.9%, it seems the flavor should be a little fuller. Glad I picked it up nonetheless and looking forward to the other three I got.
