Impression: I wasn’t expecting much from this as they already have a regular Kellerbier and it seemed yet another beer in their rather large assortment. With its name I wasn’t sure if I should expect a Kellerbier or Helles and though a little hazy, it’s flavor profile is more in the Helles direction. Gorgeous pour and enticing nose of mown grass and grain leads to a balanced grainy palate with underlying hops. It’s hoppier than most Munich style Helles and I like it especially for that. Another light colored beer showing me that’s their forte since I haven’t been amazed by their darker offerings. This is quite possibly my favorite of their beers so far. I reserve judgment until resampling the bottled Kellerbier and Pils I brought home.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
