Impression: After shying away from this brewery for years, I gave their Rotbier a shot and found it pretty good. I’d seen this Craft Beer interpretation of a Weissbier online a fair amount so was happy to pick it up. Cold hopped with Mandarina Bavaria, it’s got a lovely citrusy nose very much in the mandarin family. The orange honeycomb hue sets the plate. The fruity palate is refreshing and not in the least sticky, underlying but ample hops drying it out beautifully in the lingering semi-bitter finish. I’m no longer a big Craft Beer fan but citrus hop Weissbier is something I’d like to see more of.
