St. Georgen-Bräu Hopfenzupfer

amber beer in glass with botthe
St. Georgen-Bräu Hopfenzupfer

Brewery: St. Georgen
Style: Festbier 5.6
Color: deep
Head: off-
white, creamy, rocky
spicy, Hallertau hops
Body: medium
to full
balanced, malty, spicy, Hallertau hops
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: from a bottle bought in Bayreuth

Impression: Gorgeous pour featuring a deep amber hue with massive rocky head and nose featuring Hallertau hops. The balanced palate is both richly malty and hoppy but just a touch thin on flavor. That said, it’s a Festbier I could drink quite a few of and certainly doesn’t drink like 5.6%.
