Düll Krautheimer Pilsner
Brewery: Düll
Town: Krautheim
Style: Pils 5%
Color: golden
Head: white, creamy
Nose: malty, grainy
Body: medium
Palate: balanced, malty, grainy, hint of spice
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: on tap at the Krautheimer Biergarten
Impression: This would have come in a Krug but I asked for glass to see the color. It’s golden as you would imagine but a bit fizzier, likely due to the vessel. It’s the least spicy with the pepper element the most subdued of all the beers but actually the least interesting so far too. That said it’s a nicely balanced dry Pils with a fairly clean finish.
Next beer or back to the beer list.

I'm an American living in Munich. Why? Well, I came for the beer but stayed for the girl. I'm very happily married to a German woman. Of course, the bonus of great beer certainly doesn't hurt. An avid love of hiking and finding new beers has led me to found beerwanderers, an information resource on beer hiking trails in Franconia with an emphasis on Franconian food specialties and the endless variety of amazing beer the region is renowned for. I also just published my first book Beer Hiking Bavaria which features 50 beer hikes in Bavaria. View all posts by beerwanderers
