Roßfelder Brauhaus Kellerbier
Brewery: Roßfelder Brauhaus
Town: Roßfeld (Bad Rodach)
Style: Kellerbier 5%
Color: unfiltered amber
Head: white, creamy, thinning
Nose: malty
Body: medium, low carbonation
Palate: nice mix of malt and hops with a nice light grain element
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: on tap at their first Fest
Impression: I was disappointed there was no beer on tap but this was a very nice soft beer, not so unlike many Zoigl from the Oberpfalz. It was malty but with fair hopping as you’d hope for in a Kellerbier. The lingering finish was moreishly semi-dry. They brew a 7% winter beer and Maibock too. Hope to return but I won’t count on it!
