Impression: I saw some beer from an unknown brewery to me, Will-Bräu and a friend confirmed their authenticity as a Franconian brewery. Next to it was this Pilgerstoff beer which is also brewed by them. Glad I gave it a chance. Gorgeous pour with a deep clear amber hue and rocky off-white formidable head. Nose of toasted malt with a hint of spice foretells a cross between a classic Franconian Lager and Märzen. The hops are buried but do their job of drying out the moreish finish.
