Impression: A friend from Lower Franconia suggested this newish little brewery’s beers and noticed it was right on our route to Roth. Friendly owner showed us around and explained the rather large assortment of beers. They only come in liter bottles so limited ourselves to two and this Vollbier is a winner. Gorgeous pour with an ample head and bready nose. My friend said it leans toward the Craft Beer end of the spectrum so no surprise that it’s hoppy and dry but I still find it traditional in the overall flavor. The clean finish is quite dry and inviting. Living proof you can brew a very dry beer which isn’t overly bitter.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
