Impression: A friend from Lower Franconia suggested this newish little brewery’s beers and noticed it was right on our route to Roth. Friendly owner showed us around and explained the rather large assortment of beers. They only come in liter bottles so limited ourselves to two and this Doppelbock was the second choice since it’s seasonal and not sure if I’d see it again. This is another gorgeous pour and an exceptionally dry Bock, verging on an American barely wine in strength (8.7%) and hoppy dryness. There’s a nice fruity component and just a hint of smoke in both the nose and palate. Quite complex. It’s one of the driest Bocks I’ve ever had. Lovely.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
