Impression: I’ve never had time for the Weizen at Göller so picked up a bottle to bring home. Very refreshing looking Weizen with a bready head. It unfortunately doesn’t last long, a problem I’ve encountered with their swing tops. Not sure why they have both types and higher end beers are regular caps. That said it’s not flat and is very refreshing with a fruity palate with just a touch of banana. It’s a tad thin on flavor but like the lingering finish enough to drink more than one and that’s not something I can often say with this style. This is a capped bottle of what is sold as a different Weissbier but it looks and tastes similar though the head retention is much better. I’d say it’s a tad more flavorful and the finish is better as well. Very refreshing and not sticky as you often find in the style.
