Franken Bräu Florinator Doppelbock

dark beer in pils glass with big head and bottle
Franken Bräu Florinator

Brewery: Franken Bräu
Town:
Riedbach
Style:
Doppelbock 7.8%
Color: deep chestnut

Head: off-white, creamy, rocky, chiffon-like

Nose:
richly malt, slight roast
Body: full

Palate:
richly malty, slight roast, burnt caramel
Finish: lingering, bittersweet

Served: from a bottle bought at the brewery

Impression: The was a gorgeous pour with a deep chestnut hue and chiffon like off-white rocky head. Unfortunately it’s quite the sticky Doppelbock with a lingering finish which never quite gets there. It’s my least favorite of the growing number of Franken Bräu beers I’ve tried.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
