St. Georgen-Bräu Winterbier

Style: Festbier 5.6%
Color: amber
Head: off-white, creamy, rocky
Nose: richly malty, some caramel, Spalter hops
Body: medium
Palate: balanced, rich malt, some caramel and biscuit, underlying hops
Finish: lingering
Served: from a bottle bought at Sagasser

Impression: Gorgeous pour reminiscent of their relatively dark Hellerbock with a deep amber hue and rocky off-white head. Both Hallertau and Spalter hops in the nose and balanced palate. The lingering finish is its weakest point but it’s not overly sticky for a Festbier.
