Impression: This was a beer I had some fairly lofty expectations for. I’d loved my summer visit just six months prior and had started to think I may have been swept away by the experience with such high marks. This Bock was another dreamy creamy looking beer with dried fruit in both the nose and palate of the otherwise whats seems typical dry Forst Quell brews. This is one deceptive beer strength-wise and drinks more easily than its 7%. It’s quite rich and full-flavored with the aforementioned dried fruit element but the dryness of the finish makes it feel lighter due to a total absence of stickiness.
