richly malty, some chocolate, hint of toffee
balanced, richly malty, hint of chocolate and toffee
Finish: lingering, semi-dry

Served: on tap at the brewery

Impression: Gorgeous looking Dunkler Bock with a nice nose of chocolate and toffee. Quite smooth, I was amazed to find out it’s 7.5% after I got home.

  1. Wagner have some of the best beers I have ever supped; absolutely sublime. This is one I have yet to try but it is certainly on my bucket list: I am sure it will not disappoint.

    1. I would say it was a notch above the Hummel one. The father in the family had the Hellerbock at Wagner and it was good too but once he tried my Dunkler Bock, he switched over at Hummel! It was a cold but sunny day in November. Guess it would be a very cold day today but as you say, so nice to tuck into a warm pub for a hot meal and strong dark beer!
