Impression: I wasn’t expecting much but the pour got me a little excited. Nice copper hue and creamy head along with a richly malty nose. Unfortunately, it’s not as tasty as it looks or smells. The malty palate doesn’t really shine and the faint grain and roast don’t save the day. There’s no off flavors and the lingering finish isn’t cloying but it’s on the bland side. I wouldn’t turn one down and I’m glad I picked it up but it’s doubtful I’d buy one again.
