Hübner Helles Bockbier

Brewery: Hübner
Town:
Steinfeld
Style: Helles
Bockbier 6.7%
Color: light amber

Head: off-
white, creamy
Nose: richly malty, hint of grain
Body: full

Palate:
richly malty, hint of grain
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter

Served: from a bottle bought in the area

Impression: This was one I nearly didn’t buy due to having to carry it in a backpack home but glad I relented. They do a lot of seasonal beers in the Fest direction with varying results, often tinged with a hint of butter. This is a hint darker than most Heller Bocks and richer as well. There’s a hint of grain in the otherwise richly malty palate and a very slight buttery element which seems to fit. Underlying hops make for a lingering, semi-dry moreish finish. I’d buy again.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
