Eckerts Kellerbier
Brewery: Drei Kronen
Town: Memmelsdorf
Style: Kellerbier
Color: lightly filtered amber
Head: off-white, rocky
Nose: malty, hint of chocolate
Body: medium
Palate: fruity, dry, hoppy
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: on tap at Eckerts in Bamberg
Impression: This contract brew from Drei Kronen has replaced the former one from Gänsteller and though sceptical, I’d have to say this is better. It’s fruity with a hint of chocolate in the nose and quite the dry hoppy palate. The finish is less bitter than the Weiherer Zwickelerla I just had. Not sure the palate is as rich or flavorful but the finish is more enticing.
