Hummel Cowboy Schwarzbier

dark beer in glass with bottle and huge head
Hummel Cowboy Schwarzbier

Brewery: Hummel
Town:
Merkendorf
Style:
Schwarzbier 5%
Color:
dark chestnut
Head: off-
white, rocky
Nose:
faint roast
Body: medium

Palate:
malty, light roast, slightly buttery but not in a bad way, underlying hops
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter

Served: from a bottle bought in the area

Impression: Good looking head and beer but not in the Schwarzbier mold visually. Not much of a nose and if it weren’t for the name, you’d never peg it as such. It’s roasty and bitter but still more a dark Vollbier to me.
