Sonnen-Bräu Mürsbacher Rauch
Brewery: Sonnen-Bräu
Town: Mürsbach
Style: Rauchbier
Color: unfiltered amber
Head: white, creamy, thinning
Nose: light smoke, light grain
Body: medium, soft
Palate: balanced, lightly smoky
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: on gravity tap at Hop Dog in Munich
Impression: This was nice to see on gravity as I’d not had it even in the brewery’s pub. As with all Mürsbacher beers, it’s restrained and balanced but somehow very much with their stamp on it. It’s got a lovely light smokiness and soft mouthfeel. The smooth lingering finish is moreish.
