Impression: I hadn’t had this in ages so was glad to see it on tap. It’s a largely overlooked Rauchbier with a lovely richly malty palate, well balanced with underlying hops. The lingering finish is semi-dry and moreish. Drinking it in the courtyard on a brewing day was perfect, the wafting malt lingering in the air much like it does in the beer. I had it a few weeks later and it was filtered when it was clearly unfiltered on my earlier visit. Not sure if this is an occasional offering or if done regularly?
