Hauf Export

golden beer in pewter lidded mug with bottle
Hauf Export

Brewery: Hauf
Export 5.2%
white, creamy
malty, light grain
Body: medium

malty, lightly grainy
Finish: clean, semi-dry

Served: from a bottle in Dinkelsbühl

Impression: Nice looking golden Export with a fair head and light grain in the nose. They didn’t have this on tap at the pub so was happy to see it at the supermarket. This is much less dry than the beers at the pub. Certainly an Export can be on the malty side but I like to taste extra hops in the mix too. There aren’t any off flavors and the finish is fairly clean but I find it on the bland side, especially compared to the beers I had on tap.
